Leaving the Causeway map board, head towards the Fish Shop (2) and continue past (13), (14) and (15) to St Brigid’s RC Church (16). Take the left fork following the purple arrows, past the school. At the next junction turn right and continue along the road passing the old schoolhouse (21).  Soon you will see Lough Cluhir (20) with its rich wildlife. Continue straight towards Castlehaven estuary (30).  You get a fine views of 16th century Raheen tower house (31). Walk on past the League (32) where in summer you see all sorts of aquatic activities. You will take the left fork in the road (the right just takes you down to Reen Pier from where boats leave for whale watching) and continue winding past farmland and with great views of the village of Castletownshend across the water. Keep on until you come down to a delightful little cove that is Blind Harbour.  Here, do an about turn and retrace your steps all the way back to the village from whence you started!
